Foil Butterfly Card made with Brilliant Wings Dies (video)

I love all the different images you receive in the Brilliant Wings Dies!

There are 6 detailed Butterfly images which can be layered with the solid Butterfly images (one die cuts 6 images), two small Butterfly images and 3 background images.

For these cards I used the Love You Always Foil Sheets, which is a combo packet with 2 – 12″ x 12″ sheets each of Sahara Sand, Rococo Rose and Blushing Bride.

I maximized the foil sheets by cutting the Butterfly from the layering foil sheet.

The below cards are made with the Rococo Rose Foil Sheets.

This card is made with the Blushing Bride Foil Sheet.

This card is made with the Sahara Sand Foil Sheet.

Measurements:

♥ Basic White Cardstock: 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″, 3-3/4″ x 5″, strips for sentiment

♥ Foil Paper: 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″, strips for sentiment

♥ Vellum Cardstock: cut to size per butterfly image

Instructions:

Step #1 – Cut detailed butterfly image from top portion of 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″ Foil Sheet using Brilliant Wings Dies. Set butterfly aside. Add texture to Foil Sheet with Subtle 3D Embossing Folder, then set aside.

Step #2 – Cut brick images from bottom portion of 5″ x 3-3/4″ Basic White Cardstock using Brilliant Wings Dies. Then add texture with Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.

NOTE: Be sure brick openings does not expose butterfly cutout from Step #1

Step #3 – Cut solid butterfly image from Cardstock Vellum using Brilliant Wings Dies. Adhere foil butterfly to vellum butterfly with Mini Glue Dots, then attach to card front with Mini Dimensionals.

Step #4 – Cut one end of 1/2″ strip of Basic White Cardstock using Banners Pick A Punch, then stamp sentiment using Sahara Sand Ink. Adhere to 5/8″ strip of foil sheet (cut with Banners Pick A Punch on one end), trim other end, then adhere to card front.
