The new Pleased As Punch Designer Series Paper in the Coordination Product Release is so pretty with all the spring colors and fun images! You can dress up your paper crafts with the flowers, hearts, raindrops, and other fun patterns! It’s great for card making, scrapbooking and all your paper crafting projects!
There are 12 sheets of 12″ x 12″ patterned paper: 3 each of 4 double-sided designs. Some of the Stampin’ Up! coordinating colors are: Balmy Blue, Basic Gray, Blushing Bride, Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather, Night of Navy, Old Olive, Petal Pink, Pool Party, Whisper White
It’s so fun to have designer paper that coordinates with so many different punches!
The tulip designer paper was perfect for the image on this Fun Fold Window Card. I used the Tulip Builder Punch to cut the Tulip image from the designer paper. The greenery for the tulip was created with the punch and designer paper as well.
To add some detail and dimension to the Tulip I used a Dark So Saffron Stampin’ Blend to color in the center of the tulip (see below video for details).
Supplies:
Measurements:
1 – Fold 4″ x 5-1/4″ Mango Melody cardstock at 3/4″ score lines with Bone folder. Cut window in front panel with 2″ x 3-1/8″ Scalloped Rectangle Die from Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Then emboss using Subtle 3D Embossing Folder, refold on 3/4″ score line.
2 – Fold 5-1/4″ x 8″ Whisper White Cardstock on 4″ score line. With fold on right side adhere 3/4″ panel of Mango Melody Cardstock to back panel of Whisper White Cardstock on left side. Then adhere to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ Granny Apple Green Cardstock.
3 – Adhere 1″ x 5-1/4″ Designer Paper to right side of Whisper White Cardstock panel along fold.
4 – Using Mini Glue Dots adhere 3/16″ x 1-1/2″ Granny Apple Green Cardstock in window opening of Mango Melody cardstock towards the bottom.
5 – Using Tulip Builder Punch cutout Mango Melody tulip from Designer Paper. Using Tulip Builder Punch cutout leaf/petal image from whisper White scrap cardstock. Place Whisper White petal image on Tulip image along left side. Using tip end of Dark So Saffron Stampin’ Blend mark from top of Tulip image to bottom of Tulip image tracing along Whisper White cut-out. Rotate Whisper White cut-out and place along right side of Tulip image and trace from top of Tulip image to intersection of Stampin’ Blend. Using brush tip of Stampin’ Blend fill in center part of Tulip to add depth & dimension to flower. May use the tip end to add additional curved lines from bottom to 1/2 way up flower. Adhere Tulip image using Dimensionals in window opening of Mango Melody cardstock towards top, centered over Granny Apple Green cardstock stem.
6 – Using Tulip Builder Punch cutout two leaf/petals from designer paper. Using fingers or bone folder curve ends then adhere to bottom of flower stem – one on each side. Tie bow with Whisper White Bakers’ Twine & attach with Mini Glue Dot.
