Fun Fold Birthday Cake Card using Broadway Bound Designer Paper

Today’s card is a fun fold Birthday Cake card using Broadway Bound Designer Series Paper and Picture Perfect Stamp Set.

It’s a perfect card for a milestone birthday with the Black & Gold paper and the black candles.

I colored the silver candles from the Candle Embellishments on page 198 in the 2018-2019 Annual catalog using a black sharpie marker.

I used two prints from the Broadway Bound Designer Series Paper packet. All the designs in this packet would be perfect for this card!

Supplies:

♥ Stamp Set: Picture Perfect Birthday (145519 – photopolymer)

♥ Ink Pad: Memento Black Ink (132708)

♥ Cardstock / Paper: Basic Black (121045), Whisper White (100730), Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper (146277)

♥ Tools / Misc: 3/8″ Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon (144129), Candle Embellishments (146281), Big Shot (143263), Subtle 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (143706), Simply Scored Scoring Tool (122334), SNAIL (104332), Mini Glue Dots (103683)

Measurements:

♥ Basic Black Cardstock: 4-1/4 x 5-1/2; for layering: 1-7/8 x 4, 3-1/8 x 3-1/8, 2-5/8″ x 3-5/8; for inside sentiment layering: 1-5/8 x 2-7/8, 2-1/2 x 2-1/2, 2 x 3

♥ Whisper White Cardstock: 4-1/8 x 5-3/8; for inside sentiments; 1-1/2 x 2-3/4, 2-3/8 x 2-3/8, 1-7/8 x 2-7/8

♥ Designer Paper: 1-3/4 x 7-3/4 scored at 3-7/8, 3 x 6 scored at 3, 3-1/2 x 5 scored at 2-1/2

♥ Ribbon: 9″

Instructions:

Run 4-1/8 x 5-3/8 Whisper White Cardstock through Big Shot using Subtle Embossing Folder then adhere to Basic Black cardbase (4-1/4 x 5-1/2 panel).
Fold 1-3/4 x 7-3/4 Designer Paper on 3-7/8 score line and adhere to 1-7/8 x 4 Basic Black Cardstock. With fold on left side adhere to bottom center of cardbase.
Fold 3 x 6 Designer Paper on 3 score line and adhere to 3-1/8 x 3-1/8 Basic Black Cardstock. With fold on right side adhere to inside of card on bottom center of cardbase.
Fold 3-1/2 x 5 Designer Paper on 2-1/2 score line and adhere to 2-5/8″ x 3-5/8 Basic Black Cardstock. With fold on left side adhere to inside of cards centering on cardbase.
Stamp inside sentiments on Whisper White Cardstock and adhere to Basic Black layering cardstock. “Happiest of birthdays to you” on 1-1/2 x 2-3/4 Whisper White & 1-5/8 x 2-7/8 Basic Black; Celebrate the good stuff” on 2-3/8 x 2-3/8 Whisper White cardstock & 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 Basic Black cardstock; Today we celebrate…” on 1-7/8 x 2-7/8 Whisper White cardstock & 2 x 3 Basic Black cardstock. Adhere to inside of cards.
Adhere candle embellishments to top of birthday cake. Option: Color silver candles with Black Sharpie marker.
Tie ribbon into bow, adhere to center panel with Mini Glue Dot.
