‘Trick or Treat’ Holder using Stampin’ Up! Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper

Today’s project is a fun halloween ‘Trick or Treat’ holder for snack size Reese’s Peanut Butter cup and Kit Kat candy. 

I used the new Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper in the 2018 Holiday Catalog.  It’s perfect for these treat holders with it’s fun and colorful designs. You will get 8 candy holders per 12″ x 12″ sheet of paper. It’s a fun & easy way to decorate your Halloween Candy !

Supplies:

♥ Stamp Set:  Itty Bitty Greetings (146664- wood, 146667 – clear)
♥ Ink Pad: Memento (132708)
♥ Cardstock / Paper: Basic Black Cardstock (121045), Mango Melody Cardstock (146989), Whisper White Cardstock (100730), Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper (147531)
♥ Ribbon: Black 3/8″ Glittered Organdy Ribbon (147897), Basic Black Solid Baker’s Twine (141682)
Tools / Misc: Scalloped Tag Topper Punch (133324), 2-1/4″ Circle Punch (143720), Cat Punch (144666), Classic Label Punch (141491), Spooky Bats Punch (148014), SNAIL (104332),  Mini Glue Dots (103683), Mini Dimensionals (144108) 
 
Measurements for Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup: 
♥  Colored Cardstock: 2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4″ & 4-1/2″
♥  Designer Series Paper: 2-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ scored at 1-1/4″, 1-3/4″, 3-3/4″ & 4-1/4″
  Ribbon:  12″ of ribbon and 10″ of baker’s twine
 
Measurements for Kit Kat Candy Bar: 
♥  Colored Cardstock: 2″ x 8-3/8″ scored at 4″ & 4-3/8″
♥  Designer Series Paper: 2-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ scored at 1-3/8″, 1-3/4″, 3-3/4″ & 4-1/8″
  Ribbon:  12″ of ribbon and 10″ of baker’s twine
 

1.  Punch each end of 2″ x 8-1/2″ cardstock with Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. Fold at score line.

Tip: If you are making more than one gift card holder score 8-1/2 x 11 cardstock at 4″ & 4-1/2″ before cutting 2″ strips. 

2.  Fold Designer Series Paper on score lines and apply adhesive on center panel.  Line bottom edge of designer series paper to be about 1/4″ above fold of cardstock & adhere. Apply adhesive on both ends of Designer Paper. Wrap one end of Designer Paper around and adhere to cardstock making sure bottom edge of designer series paper is about 1/4″ above fold of cardstock. Repeat for other end of Designer Paper.

3. Slide ribbon into openings made with Scallop Tag Topper Punch.  Then insert Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup between cardstock and slide all the way to fold of cardstock.

4. Tie ends of ribbon together with baker’s twine to secure.

5. Embellish as desired.
