Daisies are one of my favorite flowers… when I saw the Ornate Garden Designer Series Paper with the pretty daisy designs on some the prints they instantly became the papers I wanted to use for my swap cards.
I love the simplicity of the design with the single daisies scattered through the 12″ x 12″ design.
Note: Usually when I design a card using designer paper, if the print is large I use larger pieces of the paper for card designs, if the design is small I use smaller pieces of the paper for card design. Both types of card designs will showcase the beauty of the papers.
I wanted to cut the paper into small strips but with the placement of the daisies they would be cut off and/or placed far apart. I realized if I cut the designer paper on an angle, the daisies would not be cut plus they would be closer together on the strip.
If I turned the paper on an angle I could use my trimmer to cut the ends of the paper, but not the center of the 12″ x 12″ paper. If I use some sewing tools (long ruler, cutting mat & rotary cutter) I could cut the whole sheet (see below video for tips).
Tip: Don’t worry about the width of the strips when cutting.

I agree with you about daisies. I carried them and bridesmaids had them in their baskets for our wedding 50 years ago!
Thanks also for the tips for the DSP and card samples. Can’t wait for mine to arrive on Monday!☀️??
